Hey Charlie! is filled with my handmade goods. I love to crochet. I first started crocheting when my bestie came to stay with me on a visit to Australia. She continues to make amazing things and is a big inspiration.

Now I just can't get enough. I do it everywhere! Crochet on the train, in the car (when I am the passenger, of course), on the couch, in the park. I do it anywhere I can. I always carry a hook and ball of yarn. When I go out the four things I check keys, wallet, phone, crochet supplies. Except on weekends..

Friends and strangers have complimented me on my handmade creations and I thought it was about time to share my crafts with the people of the world!

Creativity and Handmade crafts is in my blood. Mum made everything from my doll clothes to my deb dress and gran knitted me jumpers every year, at 85 she still does. My favourite days is when we have a craft day all together mum, babcia and me.

I love my light bulb moments when I think of my next project. I love finishing each piece I create. I love buying beautiful material on a whim, and then 6 months later coming up with the perfect idea for it.

There is nothing like getting lost in vintage crochet books looking at matching his or her crochet vest and although I am not ready to bring back the crochet vest, I think crochet certainly has a spot in today's fashion. That is what I am to bring to you.

I honour quality fabric, and when I find unloved clothes with fabric in great condition I love to upcycle and revive.

Hey Charlie! opened in August 2011, so it's all new and exciting. With lots planned for the year ahead. I design and create in Melbourne.
